Resourcing Reformed Presbyterian Church Planting in Southern Africa

Our Mission
SARM stands for Southern Africa Reformed Mission. Our primary goal is to assist our national partners with the planting of Reformed and Presbyterian churches (and those ministries that directly fuel church planting and result from church planting). This assistance takes the form of monetary and ministry investments.
The board was formed in 2020 and functions under the authority and supervision of Mission to the World (“MTW”) and is composed of a mix of MTW missionaries, PCA missions-oriented pastors and lay people, and African national partners.

Our IMPACT
Since its inception in 2020, SARM has raised an aggregate of over $250,000 for eight projects:
- Four church plants in Cape Town and Johannesburg, South Africa and Bulawayo, Zimbabwe
- Two church planting internship programs in Ethiopia and South Africa
- A church planting/presbytery development project in South Africa
- A campus ministry transition to RUF-Global in Zimbabwe
With respect to ministry investment, we are developing opportunities to provide targeted training in areas such as preaching and Presbyterian church leadership, helping experienced church planters and pastors establish coaching/mentoring relationships with less-tenured nationals partners, and establishing short-term internships in PCA churches for national partners.
